Visitors to Aspen in Colorado will enjoy access to three ski and snowboard areas. Aspen Mountain rises 3,267 feet out of the heart of downtown and is famous for its bumps, steeps and incredible views. Aspen Highlands is a local favorite, offering steep, big-mountain skiing and views of the peaks of the Maroon Bells. Buttermilk is the snowboarders' hill, which has seen many future Olympians on its slopes as a six-year host of the Winter X Games. Located within the White River National Forest, Aspen is three miles from the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, 70 miles from the Eagle County Regional Airport and 220 miles from Denver International Airport.
